Ander Crenshaw Calls to Replace Obama's Health Care Law
On Wednesday, U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw, R-Fla., weighed in on the Obama administrations decision to delay enacting the employer mandate part of the federal health care law until 2015.
The delay in the implementation of the employer mandate is another example of what weve known about Obamacare all along, Crenshaw said in a statement. Placing Washington in control of one-sixth of the nations economy was bad medicine three years ago, and its bad medicine today.
In my book, the only safe route to protecting American families and businesses from the uncertainty, requirements, and increasing costs of this massive policy overreach is to fully repeal it and replace with effective, patient-centered health care reforms, he added. Thats why I have voted 37 times to defund, repeal, or dismantle Obamacare. When it first came to the floor on Nov. 7, 2009, I opposed the law and supported the Republican substitute. That measure provided more access to health care by lowering costs, ending junk lawsuits, and preserving the doctor-patient relationship all without raising taxes. Most recently, on May 16, 2013, I reaffirmed my commitment to common-sense, patient-oriented policy by voting to fully repeal the law.
The bottom line: Obamacare has not delivered the health care results this country needs more choice and higher quality of care without damage to the economy, Crenshaw said in conclusion. Americans deserve true choice and cost-effective measures that wont harm the economy, raise taxes, or bankrupt our children and grandchildrens futures and thats what I will continue to fight for.
