Ander Crenshaw Calling on North Florida Veterans to be Recognized
U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw is calling on residents of the Fourth District, which stretches from the eastern outskirts of Tallahassee all the way to Jacksonville, to help his office identify veterans who served in the armed forces between 1941 and 1979 to be recognized at a ceremony that will be held at Mayport in the fall.
It is my desire to honor all who served in our armed forces, said Crenshaw. These men and women answered the call of duty.Some served during wartime; some kept the peace.All were willing to put their lives at risk to protect our freedom and democracy. This ceremony will help show our appreciation.
Crenshaw is looking to honor all servicemen, including those who served in the Coast Guard, Merchant Marines and National Guard. A former president of the Florida Senate, Crenshaw has represented North Florida in Congress since 2000 and he serves on the Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies. He also serves in the Republican House leadership as a deputy whip.
