Americans Don't Have High Hopes for Health Care
Most Americans don't believe health care will actually improve in the next two years, according to a new Rasmussen Reports poll released Monday. In fact, the poll found the majority of American voters actually believe health care will get worse over the next two years.
Sixty-one percent of likely American voters said they believed the U.S. health care system was likely to get worse over the next two years, while only 24 percent said it would get better. Only 9 percent said the health care system would be about the same two years from now.
Thirty-six percent of likely American voters rated the health care system as "excellent" or "good," while 60 percent said it was "fair" or "poor."
A previous poll found most voters lack confidence in Obamacareand believe it will only contribute to the federal deficit -- with 80 percent of Americans believing it's at least somewhat likely the health care law will end up costing more than official estimates.
The survey of 1,000 Likely Voters was conducted July 20-21. The margin of sampling error is +/- 3 percentage points with a 95 percent level of confidence.
