American Red Cross Offers Babysitting Training

For all those young adults searching for summer jobs, babysitting is always a viable option. Thankfully, the Capital Area Chapter of the American Red Cross is offering summer dates for its Babysitting Training courses as well as a new 3-day Summer Babysitting Training camp.

The traditional training courses are scheduled for June 7, 9, and 28 at the Chapter's headquarters. The new program, the 3-day camp, is offered June 21-23 and July 12-14.

According to the Red Cross' press release, "The training provides youth ages 11 to 15 years old the skills and confidence to safely and responsibly care for children and infants."

Attendees will learn basic first aid, and "the 3-day Babysitters Training Camp offers students the opportunity to become certified in the Infant & Child CPR, Dog and Cat CPR, standard first aid, and provides more in-depth coverage of the basics."
