Alvin Brown Hosting James Clyburn Event in Jacksonville

Mayor Alvin Brown of Jacksonville hasnt exactly been waving the flag for his fellow Democrats, raising eyebrows when he did not attend an event with President Barack Obama on the First Coast during the 2012 campaign. But, as Brown starts off the 2015 election as the favorite, hes been reaching out to secure the Democratic base.

Brown will be teaming up with old rival U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown, D-Fla., later this month to host a book-signing for U.S. Rep. James Clyburn, D-S.C. The veteran South Carolina congressman will be signing Blessed Experiences at the historic Ritz Theater and Museum in Jacksonville on Sunday, July 13.
