Allen West Turns to 'Star Trek' to Go After Democrats

Former U.S. Rep. Allen West turned to "Star Trek" for his latest attack on President Barack Obama. Over at his new website, West compared Democrats to the Borg, a villainous alien race that first appeared on Star Trek: The New Generation which tried to assimilate other species.

I think the Borg exist on Earth in the guise of todays liberal progressive socialists, i.e., the Democrat Party, West wrote on Saturday. As a matter of fact, we really should change the Democrat Party symbol from the donkey to the Borg. Its far more meaningful. Or maybe not, after all donkeys and liberals make the same incessant noise.

And, yes, West is enough of a Trekkie to know the Borg tried to assimilate Captain Picard.
