Allen West Pushes Back Against Obama's State of the Union

On Thursday, former U.S. Rep. Allen West, R-Fla., showcased a video response he made to President Barack Obamas State of the Union address.

Tuesday evening during the State of the Union address, President Obama offered more empty campaign rhetoric, West emailed supporters on Thursday. Instead of offering solutions to move America forward, he offered more of the same failed policies his administration has been pushing for more than four years.

We deserve better ... the way to return America to prosperity is to repeal Obamacare, lower taxes, rein in government overreach, and enable the American people to succeed on their own merit," West added.

While he has ruled out making a political comeback, West has closed the door to running for office this year and has no plans to take on U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Fla., who defeated him in 2012.
