Alex Sink Posts Her Tax Returns
On Friday, state CFO Alex Sink, the Democratic gubernatorial nominee, released her tax returns for the last five years -- and called for Republican rival Rick Scott to do the same.
Sink posted her tax returns-- and those of her husband attorney Bill McBride who was the Democratic candidate who lost to Gov. Jeb Bush back in 2002 -- on her site.
"I have always held a strong commitment to sunshine and transparency, said Sink. It's important for Floridians to be able to compare the records, plans and backgrounds of their candidates, which is why I released my tax returns and my husband's tax returns for the last five years.
"In Florida we believe in government in the sunshine, but unfortunately for our citizens, Rick Scott doesn't seem to get that, added Sink. Scott owes the people of Florida some answers, and a good place to start is by releasing his and his wife's tax returns."
The Scott team said earlier they would release their candidates returns and that the Sink campaign was trying to score political points.
