Alan Grayson Compares Tea Party to Ku Klux Klan

U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson, D-Fla., compared the tea party to the Ku Klux Klan, including a burning cross as a t in tea party in an image included in a fundraising email.Townhall.com has the image and the email.

Jorge Bonilla, one of the Republicans looking to run against Grayson in 2014, fired away at the Democrat.

The depiction of burning crosses in Congressman Alan Graysons most recent fundraising ask is despicable and needlessly hurtful to the many millions of families that still deal with the wounds of racial prejudice, Bonilla said. Such times as these call for our elected officials to be uniters. Unfortunately, Mr. Grayson is only interested in dividing us, and has no qualms in doing so on the backs of those who suffered the horrors of racial persecution. Whats worse, he does so for no other reason than to troll for donations for his re-election campaign. I call on House Democratic leadership to condemn this vile and repulsive use of such imagery.
