Alachua Mayor Crosses Party Lines to Back Rick Scott

Gov. Rick Scott reeled in the endorsement of Alachua Mayor Gib Coerper, a Democrat, who crossed party lines to back him on Wednesday.
Gov. Scott isnt your typical politician, Coerper said. When he makes a promise, he keeps it. He promised to get Florida back to work and has delivered over 600,000 private-sector jobs since December 2010, which has tremendously helped the heart of Florida and the Alachua community. He promised to cut the red tape for small businesses and has so far cut over 3,000 burdensome regulations. Florida needs to continue this path of economic prosperity and re-elect Gov. Scott this November."
