Al Lewis Appointed Top Editor at South Florida Business Journal
Al Lewis is set to join the South Florida Business Journal as editor in chief on July 14, reports Cision.com.
Lewis was previously a contributing business columnist for The Wall Street Journal Sunday and the Denver Post since August 2010. Before that, he served as a columnist for Dow Jones Newswires from June 2008 to July 2013.
The final installment of his column, "Al's Emporium," will appear July 13 in The Wall Street Journal pages included in the Sunday Denver Post.
Lewis called the move to Florida bittersweet.
"My column has been in The Post, in one form or another, since 2001 and I love the readers. They have emailed me for years -- some complimentary, some insulting, but it's fun to have that discourse," he said. "It's hard to walk away from that. But my career has always been characterized by writing, then editing, then writing. Now it's time for me to be an editor."
South Florida Business Journal is owned by Charlotte, N.C.-based American City Business Journals, which also owns the Denver Business Journal.
