Al Gore Boost for Kendrick Meek

More proof that the Democratic establishment is not putting its money on Gov. Charlie Crist who is running for the U.S. Senate without party affiliation:

U.S. Rep. Kendrick Meek, the Democratic nominee in the U.S. Senate race, announced on Wednesday that former Vice President Al Gore, the Democratic presidential candidate back in 2000, will campaign with him in Tampa on Sept. 30.

"I am honored to have Vice President Gore visit Florida in support of my campaign, said Meek. Together, we'll show Floridians that there is just one candidate who will stand up for Florida's environment and middle-class families in this state.
