AG Candidate Pam Bondi Pledges to Fight for Crime Victims
Republican attorney general candidate Pam Bondi, a former assistant state attorney, played up her crime-fighting credentials on Monday.
Every victim I have ever stood up for -- whether it was in a court of law or in front of a parole board hearing -- is a constant reminder to me that there is nothing more important than keeping people safe, said Bondi. I have loved every minute of the nearly two decades I have been a prosecutor, and the only thing that could make me leave that job is my belief that I can use my experience to stand up for victims not just in my community, but all across the state.
If I am given the opportunity to serve as Floridas next attorney general, I want to hit the ground running, added Bondi. "I am on a listening and learning tour in this state, and I want to bring the people on the front lines of fighting crime to the table for crime-fighting discussions. I know that together, we can work to come up with innovative ways to effectively meet the challenges facing Floridians' lives every day.
