AFP Cheers Pam Bondi for Leading the Charge Against EPA
Americans for Prosperity’s (AFP) Florida chapter cheered state Attorney General Pam Bondi for leading a coalition of 17 states against the Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) rules on power plant emissions. Earlier this week, Bondi filed a petition with a federal court in Washington, D.C. against the rules.
Chris Hudson, AFP’s director in Florida, explained why fiscal watchdogs and supporters of limited government should back Bondi.
“AG Pam Bondi is showing that she is committed to protecting Floridians from the encroaching and over-regulated authorities of the EPA,” Hudson said on Thursday. “Demanding states comply with egregious and unattainable emissions reductions is a political backdoor to a one-size-fits-none energy model that threatens energy affordability and reliability here in Florida and around the country. The EPA and its power grab mentality is completely out of control. Florida families and consumers should be proud of the fight that their Florida Attorney General is leading, by joining forces with bipartisan leaders in 16 additional states to take on President Obama’s inept and overreaching EPA.”
