Adam Putnam Vows 'New Chapter' at Agriculture Department
Moments after being sworn in, Agriculture and Consumer Services Commissioner Adam Putnam weighed in on his new position in an e-mail to supporters.
Today begins a new chapter for the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, and I am excited to hit the ground running as Floridas commissioner of agriculture, wrote Putnam.
I am excited about the work before us to strengthen our economy, create new jobs utilizing our resources, and protect our 18 million consumers, added Putnam. At the department, we will be accessible and open to your ideas for the future and hope you will continue to take an active role in the issues surrounding this office. Together, we can make a better and brighter future for all those who call Florida home.
