Adam Hasner Attacks Bill Nelson in New Web Video

The team behind former state House Majority Leader Adam Hasner, now running in a crowded Republican primary to take on Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, launched a Web video on Monday. In the video, the Hasner team rips Nelson for being in public office for almost 40 years and note that he has backed tax increases and supported President Barack Obama on 98 percent of votes in the Senate.

"After spending close to 40 years as an establishment politician, it's clear that Senator Nelson has mastered the art of saying one thing back home and doing another in Washington," said Doug Mayer, a spokesman for Hasner, in a statement on Monday. "It's possible he could be the only self-described 'centrist' in America whose resume includes a 98 percent record of support for Obama administration policies and a voting history of raising taxes over 140 times. On the campaign trail Senator Nelson talks like a Blue Dog Democrat, but in Washington he votes like a true blue liberal and Floridians deserve to know the truth."
