Adam Barringer Makes Congressional Ballot by Petition

Former New Smyrna Beach Mayor Adam Barringer announced on Monday that he had made the ballot by petition as he continues his bid for the Republican nod to replace U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., in Congress. DeSantis is running for the U.S. Senate in 2016.

Barringer announced he had made the ballot and unveiled the support of more than 10 Republican officials from his Volusia County base on Monday.  

"Our conservative message and my local community ties have helped our volunteers and campaign team lead a successful, grassroots effort to become the first Republican congressional candidate in the entire state of Florida to qualify for the 2016 ballot via the petition process," Barringer said.
