ACU Ratings Coming to Tallahassee

The American Conservative Union (ACU) revealed on Monday that they will be taking their congressional rating system, which is iconic for many conservatives, to the state level. The ACU will be grading state representatives and senators on votes much as they have congressmen and senators for four decades The program will start up in five states, including the Sunshine State. The other four states, all of which are shaping up as 2012 battlegrounds, are Nevada, North Carolina, Ohio and Virginia.

ACUs congressional ratings have been the industry gold standard for years in informing Americans whether their congressman or senator is conservative, and were thrilled to expand our ratings' reach to the state legislative level in these critical swing states, said ACU Chairman Al Cardenas, no stranger to Florida politics and a former chairman of the Republican Party of Florida (RPOF). With the growth of government expanding faster than at any time in the history of our country, the ACU intends to continue to play a major role in giving the American people the tools they need to make informed voting decisions at every level of government.
