Actress-Girlfriend Sofia Vergara is All In for a Nick Loeb Senate Bid
Nick Loeb has his running mate.
Sofia Vergara, the "Modern Family" actress, says she's all in for helping her boyfriend vie for the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate in Florida.
"Of course I will help him, why not?" she told "People" magazine.
"I support him with everything. If that's what he wants to do in his life, I will be there for him."
Loeb, a 35-year-old Miami-based businessman and former partner in his family's stockbrokerage, has the resources and connections to run, say political consultants who note that the GOP field remains unsettled.
Loeb, son of Reagan-era diplomat and U.N. delegate John Loeb Jr., previously ran for state Senate in 2009 but dropped out of the race to deal with his divorce from his wife Anna.
He met Vergara, 39, at a Golden Globes awards show in January 2010 and the two have been together ever since, shuttling between Los Angeles, New York and Miami.
