2012 Senate Campaign Under Way With Haridopolos' Letter to Nelson

Incoming state Senate President Mike Haridopolos has a meter running on U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson, D-Fla., as the clock ticks toward Nelson's 2012 re-election date.

The Merritt Island Republican lawmaker addressed another letter to Forida's senior senator today, reiterating questions he posed to Nelson 77 days ago.

"While I know things move slowly in Washington, to date, I have yet to receive your response," Haridopolos writes. Among the queries:

Do you feel betrayed about President Barack Obama's "apparent flip-flop" on jobs at the Kennedy Space Center?
What is your plan to lower the unemployment rate?
How do you intend to address the unfunded mandate of Obamacare?
