Just days after launching a comprehensive K-12 homeschooling curriculum, former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, has announced yet another major project: the establishment of a nonpartisan think tank devoted to civil liberties and foreign non-interventionism.
"The neo-conservative era is dead," Paul's foreign policyadviserDaniel McAdams declared in a press release Friday."The ill-advised policies pushed by the neo-cons have everywhere led to chaos and destruction, and to a hatred of the United States and its people. Multitrillion-dollar wars have not made the world a safer place; they have only bankrupted our economic future."
McAdams will serve as executive director of the newRon Paul Institute for Peace and Prosperity, which will be inaugurated by the former congressman at a Washington, D.C., press conference on Wednesday, April 17, at 3 p.m.
"After decades in and out of the U.S. House of Representatives leading the call for a non-interventionist foreign policy and the protection of civil liberties, Dr. Paul is launching a revolutionary new vehicle to expand his efforts," McAdams said. "The Institute will serve as the focal point of a new coalition that crosses political, ideological, and party lines."
The Institute's board ofadvisers includes U.S.Rep. Walter Jones, R-N.C.; Rep. John Duncan, R-Tenn.; former U.S. Rep. Dennis Kucinich, D-Ohio; former N.J. Superior Court JudgeAndrew Napolitano; RonaldReagan'sformer ambassador to Switzerland, Faith Whittlesey; and Lew Rockwell, founder and chairman/CEO of theLudwig von Mises Institute.
