“As Realtors, we pride ourselves on our long-standing efforts to defend private property rights, promote community prosperity and preserve a professional climate that ensures the economic growth of Florida,” Ann DeFries, chair of Florida Realtors PAC Trustees, said in a written statement.

“Our continued success in these efforts requires legislators who share these beliefs and will work with our 180,000+ members to help Floridians and their communities thrive.”

Added Bill Martin, CEO of Florida Realtors, “The health of Florida’s real estate industry and its economy go hand-in-hand. We need elected officials who understand this relationship and will work tirelessly to enact laws and policies that promote homeownership and protect the rights of homeowners throughout the state.”

“Florida is a beacon of success in the nation, but we need dedicated elected officials rolling up their sleeves and working with organizations like ours to ensure that success continues,” said Carrie O’Rourke, vice president of public policy for Florida Realtors. “We believe these candidates will do just that and hope Florida voters agree in November.”

Can't really blame Florida Realtors Association or any other long established organization for supporting "Good "Old Boys" cronyism networks. It takes guts and a fresh new outlook for Florida when it comes to changing the way we view real estate, schools, government, etc. in Florida. Donald Trump is forcing us to look at the "old ways" with new eyes. DeSantis is a must for our Republican Governor nominee. I'm sure Putman is ok but we need a younger, fresh look at this state with a new vision for Florida that isn't tied to generations of cronyism.

These endorsements do not make sense. The reason people live in Florida, retire to Florida, buy homes in Florida is it natural beauty and low taxes. The environment is the most important economic driver. The lagoons, lakes, springs, beaches and rivers make Florida wonderful - and are all severely polluted. Florida Realtor’s should support candidates that want to protect Florida’s environment and economy. Most of the names on this list vote against the environment every chance they get. It does not make sense.

Realtors and their ilk ... and their partner developers and builders ... USE (and abuse) THE ENVIRONMENT TO MAKE $$$$$$! All three ... realtors, developers, and builders ... are killing their own Golden Goose!
