This week, U.S. Rep. Dan Webster, R-Fla., showcased his  proposal to encourage doctors and other medical personnel to provide more services for Americans on Medicaid or CHIP.

Earlier this month, Webster brought out the “Good Samaritan Charitable Physicians Services Act” which gives health-care providers tax deductions if they offer free services to individuals and families using Medicaid or CHIP for their coverage.

“Americans deserve a health-care system that that will ensure access to health coverage for all, rein in costs, and allow our health care professionals to improve health care delivery through innovation” Webster said when he highlighted the bill this week. “This bill is a creative, commonsense solution that ensures our most vulnerable Americans have access to the care they need, from the doctor they choose, at a price they can afford.”

The Florida Republican insisted that his bill will reduce Medicaid costs and help more than 7 million patients across the nation.

Dan Weber, the president and the founder of the Association of Mature American Citizens (AMAC), threw his support to the bill and said it would help rectify the mistakes from former President Barack Obama’s health-care law.

“Obamacare has failed to provide health-care to millions of Americans and it is time for Congress to find new solutions to this growing problem,” said Weber said. “The Good Samaritan Charitable Physicians Services act will provide low-income individuals and families a new source for health-care and help to create a doctor-patient relationship missing in our current system. I encourage every member of Congress to cosponsor this legislation to help low-income families across the country.”

U.S. Rep. Mark Meadows, R-NC, is cosponsoring Webster’s bill which was sent to the U.S. House Energy and Commerce and the Ways and Means Committees. So far, there is no counterpart over in the U.S. Senate.

Where was your support to provide Medicai coverage to the more than 800,000 Floridians who would have qualified. This proposal is hypocritical and self righteous. You have been missing in action on health care for Floridians

GO FOR IT REP. DAN WEBSTER, IT IS A BRILLIANT CONCEPT!!! LET US KEEP IN MIND, LET US NOT IN FLORIDA BECOME LIKE NEW YORK, CALIFORNIA, ILLINOIS, GEORGIA, AND MAY BE SOME OTHERS. LET US IN FLORIDA SET AN EXAMPLE THAT EVERYONE WOULD BE HUNGRY AND THIRSTY TO FOLLOW. FLORIDIANS CAN DISTRIBUTE MORE FROM THEIR VOLUNTARY HEARTS THAN ANY GOVERNMENT PROGRAM. I AM A FUTURE FLORIDIAN. I THINK LESS TAXES, AND MORE INDIVIDUAL INDEPENDENCE IS THE WAY TO GO FOR ALL AGES. ALL AGE GROUPS HAVE POTENTIAL AND ABILITY, AND UNTIL WE TAKE OUR LAST BREATH WE ARE USEFUL IN SOMEWAY. LET MEDICAID AS AN EXAMPLE BE ONLY A SAFETY NET, AND LET PEOPLE THEMSELVES ASPIRE TO DO BETTER. AS WE HAVE INDEPENDENCE AND CAN PROVIDE FOR OURSELVES WE ARE NOT ONLY BETTER FLORIDIANS, WE ARE MORE EFFICIENT HUMAN BEINGS. I FIRMLY BELIEVE THAT FLORIDIANS AND OTHER HUMANITY CAN DO MORE AND BETTER FROM VOLUNTARY HEARTS, THAN ANY GOVERNMENT PROGRAM CAN SOMETIME UNLAWFULLY TAKE FROM THEM AND DISTRIBUTE WEALTH. VOLUNTARY HEARTS ARE PRICELESS!!! PEOPLE CAN DO MORE THAN GOVERNMENT!!! YES, TO THE ABOVE MR. GLEN GIBELLINA, IT IS A START.

I support this and if elected for Florida Senate District 26 I will work with Senator Webster on this bill.

Thank you It's a start
