Having raised more than $784,000 -- with almost $126,000 coming from PACs -- Republican congressman Connie Mack appears headed for another term. Mack had more than $639,000 on hand as of June 30.
The rest of the field is struggling raising money. Democrat James Roach, a consultant who served in Vietnam, raised more than $14,000 and kicked in more than $12,000 of his own money. He had more than $3,300 on hand at the end of June. Real estate developer William Maverick St. Claire, who is running with no party affiliation, gave his campaign almost $8,000 of his own funds. The campaign had less than $600 on hand on June 30.
