Andrew Gillum's Star Is Rising

February 7, 2018 - 6:30pm

The people who are/were behind the smear campaign against Andrew Gillum have to be crying to country music right now.

Or at least making up a verse or two.

The inadvertent release of the FBI warrant for Scott Maddox and Paige Carter-Smith all but killed their year-long attempt to paint Gillum as the object of the Tallahassee FBI investigation.

Now, the word on the street was that the Gwen Graham campaign was behind most of it. After all, she knows Gillum evokes far more enthusiasm than she does, right?

Right.

What better way to kill off an opponent than to make donors and voters think an indictment is imminent?

Only it wasn’t and isn’t. And Gillum didn’t go away. Nor did his die-hard supporters.

Things are only going to get better for Andrew Gillum from here. His interview on the nationally syndicated radio show, The Breakfast Club, was a smash.

  • Black voters love Andrew Gillum.
  • Progressive voters love Andrew Gillum.
  • White voters love Andrew Gillum.
  • Young voters love Andrew Gillum.
  • Old voters love Andrew Gillum.

He is the only candidate who can pull voters in every Democratic voting block.

If Democrats want to see an over-performance in voter turnout, a la Virginia and Alabama, there is only one candidate capable of making that happen.

Andrew Gillum.

People flock to see him wherever he goes, and they aren’t disappointed when they get there.

He was the star of the Miami Women’s March, and the FBI warrant hadn’t been divulged. The cheers and applause for Gillum were louder than they were for Graham, a woman.

I know that a poll was released shortly after the FBI warrant, showing that Graham was the front runner.

A poll also was released showing Hillary Clinton was beating Barack Obama AND Donald Trump.

She lost both times.
