Moderate-Republican elected officials, calm down and take a lude.
Mainstream Media, you’ve run the storyline into the ground now for four days.
Give it a break.
I’ve not been President Donald Trump’s biggest fan. I supported Jeb Bush first, then Marco Rubio. I was even willing to give Ted Cruz a try.
But, Trump won the nomination.
It wasn’t pretty and I sure as hell never expected him to win.
But he did, and yet the Democratic Communist Party, a/k/a “The Resistance,” has taken hold and the MSM is doing everything they can every day to make them look good, and the president look bad.
Get over it, he won.
Now, let’s talk about what happened in Charlottesville.
All sane, intelligent, normal people (did I get all of us in there?), know and understand and rightfully condemn the Neo-Nazi/White Supremacists' vulgar, racist, disgusting, violent diatribes.
No one I know has anything good to say about David Duke.
But, just because Duke likes Trump, doesn’t make Trump a racist.
It’s no different than Black Lives Matter supporting Obama.
Did Obama condemn BLM when they were looting, lighting fires, pillaging, injuring people?
But the MSM didn’t utter a word.
Not a challenge.
Not a peep.
How dare the MSM now try to tie Trump with the neo-Nazis when they treated Obama with kid gloves because they were of the same ideological stripe.
Since when must Trump satisfy the alt-left, the intelligentsia, the Hollywood elite, Kareem Abdul Jabar, the New York liberal crowd with his comments?
One thing you have to say about Trump is that he uses words inarticulately.
That’s especially dangerous in diplomacy (that’s another column!).
But you know what?
The average American knows what Trump is saying.
He may not be a smooth-talking politician, but aren’t we all tired of that -- which is part of the reason Trump got elected?
He talks and thinks like us.
Oh, I know. It’s not good to be off-the-cuff, and the media have fun with it because they expect Trump to meet the mold of every other politician, many of whom, quite honestly, said one thing and did another.
At least with Trump we know what we got.
Trump got it right the first time. He said what he needed to say.
Was it what we would expect from a president?
No, because we expect presidents to let their speech writers draft a statement, rehearse their lines, then come out and speak to America.
Don’t you get it, MSM?
That’s not Trump's modus operandi.
He’s going to say what he thinks.
Indeed, that can be concerning, but I don’t mind him doing that if he’s honest in what he says.
And Lord knows, he’s honest -- just too honest for the MSM who wants a prototype politician who will say all the right things whether he means them or not.
MSM: If an outright condemnation wasn’t good enough for you initially, then just go to your safe space, little snowflakes, because he’s not going to do what you want him to do, he’s going to say what he wants in a way that the average American will understand.
And in plain English, just liked he talked to Kim Sam Dung.
Trust me, we understood what Trump was saying and so did that little, chubby dictator with the neo-Nazi haircut!
What the MSM reports that Trump said about Charlottesville is not what he really said.
Enter, fake news.
The president initially condemned what happened in Virginia.
And he condemned both sides, because it takes two sides to have a fight.
The president was right from the beginning.
Did the neo-Nazis/White Supremacists start the fight? Sure they did. They were looking for a fight.
But the alt-left was there and they were only too happy to oblige.
He didn’t even try to draw a moral equivalency between the right and the left, that’s what the MSM interpreted because they want to put Trump in the worst light.
And when he said there were good people, average Americans KNOW he wasn’t talking about the Nazis, he was talking about average citizens who are rightfully concerned about losing a part of our history that is intertwined with our culture here in the South.
But when the alt-left vandalized and tore down the confederate statute in Durham, N.C., other than showing the picture, there has not been a word uttered on television or in print about those instigators who, once again, became violent, broke the law and damaged a statute.
To Nancy Pelosi: Shut up!
We’re not the Soviet Union, China or Cuba.
We don’t allow revisionism history in our society as the commies do because, while we may not be proud of our forefathers, we don’t use 21st Century standards and apply them to 18th Century America.
The confederate statutes and plaques are a “teachable” lesson about the good, the bad, and the ugly of American history.
When we elected Trump, we dismissed political correctness.
Nancy, I know you and your ilk didn’t get the message, but it’s true.
Americans are fed up with this PC crap.
You’re not going to make us think like y’all, even though you control the print media, television, schools and higher education, Hollywood and those pathetic sports figures who refuse to stand up for America during our national anthem.
We all know America isn’t perfect. But you rich, stuck-up, snooty, puff bags can go to Russia, Europe or any other country anytime you want.
You won’t, because you won’t continue to make your money.
We Americans aren’t going to let you trash our history, make us feel guilty, or rob us of our heritage, regardless of how hard you might try.
One last note:
MSM, you’re making the alt-right so famous. You’re making their day.
You’re allowing Duke to spread his venom.
You’re giving them a podium to speak to America.
Get hold of yourselves. No wonder they’re emboldened, with your stupid, daily drumbeat.
Remember, you did the same thing with Trump when he first started running and then you couldn’t stop him.
Instead, why don’t all you libs in the media look at the REAL problems that Americans have with a lack of jobs, good, affordable and meaningful health care, a tax plan that will lift our country and an infrastructure plan that will Make America Great Again.
That’s what we care about.
