Former Gov. Luis Fortu of Puerto Rico announced on Monday he was supporting Bob Cortes for the Republican nomination to challenge Rep. Karen Castor Dentel, D-Maitland.
All of Central Florida, and especially the Puerto Rican community, will benefit from the leadership of Bob Cortes, said Fortu. We can count on Bob to work for more jobs and better schools, but more importantly, we can count on him to be a leader who tells the truth and puts people first.

Tim Tebow Continues to Divide Jaguars Fans on First Coast
The war over Tim Tebow continues on the First Coast.
Despite the returns of Blaine Gabbert as QB and Marcades Lewis at tight end from injuries (though Lewis was reinjured) on Sunday, the Jacksonville Jaguars continue to struggle. The Jaguars, clearly the worst team in the National Football League (NFL), were blown out at home by the Indianapolis Colts, losing 37-3 on Sunday.

Allen West Finds Lessons from the Bible as Shutdown Looms
Former U.S. Rep. Allen West was in Louisiana over the weekend for a fundraiser for Louisiana state Sen. Elbert Guillory who recently jumped over to the GOP after first being elected as a Democrat. Americans Still Opposed to Obamacare Individual Mandate
Americans are still not on board with the individual health care mandate, according to a new poll released Monday by Rasmussen Reports.
Americans are paying attention to news stories about the implementation of Obamacare -- the poll found 85 percent of likely U.S. voters said they were following news stories either somewhat closely or very closely, with 44 percent saying they were following news stories "very closely." Only 14 percent said they were not following news stories about the new health care law closely or at all.
