Amid the chaos of a national election season, it’s easy to lose sight of what’s going on at home here in Florida. This year, all 40 of Florida’s state Senate seats and all 120 seats in the state House of Representatives are up for re-election -- though, granted, a few seats were uncontested.
FBI Director James Comey has caused consternation by his public actions. There is much discussion trying to understand what is really going on. One explanation, I believe, is that Director Comey is at war with the Justice Department.

The plans involve contracts between the insurer and the patient, and the insurer and the “health care providers.” The parties agree upon and know in advance who must pay for medical care—with the amount to be determined by the insurer.

Back in 2013, immigration reform was being discussed in Congress, much like it has been during this presidential election. At that time, Hillary Clinton stated, based on leaked emails, that being opposed to immigration is “fundamentally un-American” and that "American" is not a national identity but rather is "an intellectual invention." That same year, Paul Ryan was also talking about America not being a country or a national identity but rather an "intellectual idea." Both of these statements were made in the context of promoting open border immigration.
In normal times, presidential candidates in most countries make campaign promises to protect their citizens and ensure security and national sovereignty for their homelands.
