Gov. Ron DeSantis is in better shape with Florida voters than either of the state’s two U.S. senators, a new poll shows.

Quinnipiac University released a poll on Thursday morning showing that DeSantis has the approval of 55 percent of voters while 22 percent disapprove of him and 23 percent are not sure.

Most Republicans--83 percent--approve of DeSantis but the governor also gets good marks with independents with 51 percent approving of him and 23 percent disapproving of him. Democrats lean against the governor but 35 percent of them approve of him while 40 percent disapprove of him.

U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio R-Fla., gets mixed marks in the poll with 45 percent approving of him and 41 percent disapproving of him while 14 percent are not sure. Most Republicans--73 percent of them--approve of Rubio while two-thirds of Democrats--66 percent--disapprove of him. Rubio is slightly upside down with independents with 45 percent disapproving of him and 41 percent approving of him.

U.S. Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., is slightly underwater in the poll with 41 percent approving of him and 44 percent disapproving of him while 15 percent are not sure. Scott has nailed down the Republican base with 77 percent of the GOP approving of him while 74 percent of Democrats disapprove of him. Almost half of independents--49 percent--disapprove of Scott while 35 percent approve of him.

None of the three Florida Republicans will be up before the voters next year. DeSantis and Rubio are up for reelection in 2022 while Scott can run for a second term in 2024.

The poll of 1,279 registered voters in Florida was taken from June 12 through June 17 and had a margin of error of +/- 3.3 percent.

Save our state from sharia law, Out law it now please, and keep up the great work your doing !

Perhaps if the Democrat party wasn't such a corrupt terrorist organization they wouldn't have gotten their clocks cleaned by these three highly qualified individuals in each of their elections.

Not even Goebbels on his best day could candy coat the stunt pulled by HCA against the American people through the overcharges and fraud against Medicare and Scott was running it at the time. A 1.5 billion dollar fine to the government. If you saw how he micromanaged his time as governor, blaming this on someone else is absurd. Desantis IS doing a great job because he did a 180 from Scott's assault on the environment. Putting Corcoran in charge of gutting public education, and packing the state supreme court with puppets of big business, not so great, but compared to Scott and Jeb! he deserves his popularity.

Goebbels was an associate of Adolph Rodham Hitlary.

What's the point here? Comparing an apple with two oranges? Maybe if DeSantis and Rubio were both thinking about challenging Trump in Republican primaries ... their relative popularity in a large swing state like Florida might matter. But, Rubio has wimped out on challenging Trump and DeSantis is still an unknown and an unknown quantity. Of the three, I'll take Rubio ... and Scott should actually just about be ready for release from prison for his multi-billion-dollar Medicare and Medicaid fraud ... instead of being a former Governor and current U.S. Senator!

VoteDem, I see you're still trotting out that tired old lie about Scott. Why don't you search for the Truth? Scott was NEVER charged . . .much less found guilty. I think you "can't handle the Truth"!

Right! Scott "wasn't charged". And, neither has Trump. But you and I both know they're both guilty. if it walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, and looks like a duck ... it's a duck!

You simply cannot comprehend basic information not fake news .

Chuckle, chuckle, chuckle! Yeah, I know, I just can't comprehend that the majority of Americans voted for Donald Trump and that he had the biggest inauguration crowd in history - or that Mexico was going to pay for a border wall ... or that there was "No Collusion!"

Senator Rick Scott is certainly a far superior Senator than Bill Nelson ever was.

Based on what, Jerry? You must be a newcomer down here - a REAL newcomer! (Besides, Shouldabenafelon Scott has only been a senator for a little over five months! Not even enough time to screw-up, let along be adjudged "superior".)

Amen! And again, I wonder who they call to poll. Probably mostly Democrats. DeSantis caters to the Dems. Of the three. my preference is Rick Scott. But I see the dems are still harping on the lie told by Bill McCullom . . . .. Scott was NEVER found guilty of any fraud . . . .never even charged. McCullom told that lie, and it cost him the election because most people found out his was lying. A few, like the one comment above , never bothered to find out the truth.

How do you feel about Trump and the 10,134 verifiable lies and misrepresentations he's peddled to the American public and the media in his 30 months in office?
