After winning a second term in the U.S. House last month, U.S. Rep. Brian Mast, R-Fla., turned his fire to the Assad regime in Syria and its supporters, including Russia and Iran.

On Friday, Mast, a combat wounded veteran who lost his legs serving in Afghanistan, unveiled a resolution “condemning the Assad regime and its backers, including Russia and Iran, for their continued support of war crimes and crimes against humanity in Syria.” Mast serves on the U.S. House Foreign Affairs Committee and on the U.S. House Middle East and North Africa Subcommittee.

The resolution urges President Donald Trump and the U.S. State Department to “work towards a sustainable political transition in Syria that results in a government in Syria that is not a danger to its own people” and to “develop a strategy to prevent a permanent Iranian presence in Syria, understanding that the Russia Federation has not proven to be a viable partner to help in this effort.”

After unveiling it, Mast offered his take on why he had brought out the resolution.

“After seven years of war and the deaths of more than half of a million people, the atrocities of the Assad regime are still ongoing with the help of Russia and Iran,” Mast said. “The United States must push for an end to the violence and suffering in Syria and hold the perpetrators accountable.”

So far, Mast has not reeled in any cosponsors for the resolution. There is no companion measure over in the U.S. Senate. On Friday, Mast’s resolution was sent to the House Foreign Affairs Committee.

Mast won a second term in the House last month. While he was a top Democrat target, Mast held off Lauren Baer’s target in a competitive contest.

So, Rep. Mast...Did you hear Iran just tested a nuke? Wonder where they got the components to build from...Russia. Where did Russia get the components from? Rosatom. Remember the 20% United States uranium sales to Rosatom courtesy of HRC? How about the billions of US Dollars on a pallet headed to Iran courtesy of BHO. Now you have; Nuke material from USA sold to Russia, Cash from USA sent to Iran, Russian scientists working with Iran to develop Nukes all the while the Iranians chant, "Death to America". That sure is some kind if "Nuclear Deal" Time to wake up and smell the hypocrisy.

I wonder if Mr. Mast thinks that removing Assad in Syria would help humanity as much as removing Hussein in Iraq and removing Gaddafi in Libya did. I personally do not believe he would care if the Christians in Syria were slaughtered by the Sunni government which would succeed the tolerant Assad family. Search "Brian Mast Israel", and you will find out quickly where his allegiance lies.

Would not expect anything else from a blind supporter of Israel. Someone needs to tell him that he is not a representative of Israel.
