It was a spirited night in Orlando for the Republican Party of Florida on Saturday, as the RPOF hosted its largest fundraiser of the year, the 2018 Victory Dinner at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa.

The Victory Dinner brought together some 600 enthusiastic donors and influential grassroots leaders from across the state.

“Tonight, the energy in this room is noticeable, and because of this excitement and your steadfast leadership, our state will crush the supposed ‘blue wave’ on November 6,” said RPOF Chairman Blaise Ingoglia. “As our Party’s largest fundraiser, this Victory Dinner marks 38 days until we deliver a stunning blow to the most radical and corrupt ticket in our state’s political history.”

The event boasted an exceptional lineup of statewide Republican nominees, including: Gov. Rick Scott; candidate for governor, Ron DeSantis; Chief Financial Officer Jimmy Patronis; candidate for attorney general, Judge Ashley Moody; and candidate for Florida commissioner of agriculture, state Rep. Matt Caldwell.

Scott emphasized the Party's optimistic and powerful message to a room of key leaders within the GOP, saying, “Over the past seven and a half years, we’ve worked hard to make Florida a place where every child can succeed, no matter how they grow up.  We’ve cut taxes, slashed government waste, reduced burdensome regulations, and created an economy that brings more opportunities to Florida families. This election gives Floridians the opportunity to keep this success going strong and let the politicians in Washington know that we don’t work for them -- they work for us. Together, we can reform the tired, dysfunctional ways of D.C. and finally ‘Make Washington Work.’”

Echoing Scott’s message, DeSantis underscored the importance of keeping the Sunshine State red.

“This election is so important for our state, and the stakes couldn’t be higher,” he said. “Over the past eight years, under Governor Scott’s leadership, we’ve created 1.6 million private-sector jobs, cut taxes 75 times, and our unemployment rate is down to 3.7 percent. Our now-$1 trillion economy is booming, but we’ve got to build on that success, and that’s exactly what I’m going to do as governor.”

DeSantis went on to stress, “I will also fight to keep our communities safe, ensure that all of our students have access to a world-class education, protect our environment, and expand opportunities so that every Floridian can succeed.  We have seen incredible support and great energy so far in our campaign. Now, let’s keep the momentum going so that we have a big win in November.”

The room erupted in cheers from the Party’s base when Ingoglia spoke of "a battleground state of Florida" and its importance in this year’s midterm elections.

“There is a stark contrast this midterm election between a Republican Party seeking prosperity for Florida, and a Democrat Party looking to reverse our progress. It is time to rally in order to retain the governor’s mansion, add a seat in the U.S. Senate and continue to lead our great state with strong conservative values," Ingoglia said. "Let’s bring this home on November 6.”

I'm excited about the prospect of Ron DeSantis continuing Governor Rick Scott's legacy of pro-growth business policies and limiting the size of government. The Democrats will continue to spread false claims that Red Tide is a result of Republican policies, but this is an absolute lie. Talk to scientists and they will tell you Red Tide has been with us for over 100 years. This year's extended algae bloom may be a result of nutrients from the Mississippi River into the Gulf. But rest assured that Florida is funding research at our universities trying to solve these problems. But we simply cannot afford to become the south's welfare dumping ground, which is what Gillum wants to make Florida. Expanding Medicaid will cause poor people to come to florida for free and subsidized medical care. And unlike his friend Obama when he was in the White House, state government can't print money to cover all of the BILLIONS is additional spending Gillum wants. He will have to raise taxes enormously, maybe even implement a state income tax. This will destroy Florida's expanding economy and begin the process of turning us into another Venezuela. And if you hate the antics of the Senate Democrats and the horrible way they've treated an honorable family man like Judge Kavanaugh, then also vote Rick Scott to replace do-nothing lackey Bill Nelson.

The only good Republican in this state over the last 20 years was Charlie Crist ... and the only good one now is David Jolly.

Big Money, Big Paybacks...

One of the biggest nights of legalized racketeering in existence. A vote for them alone is a vote for big money and special interests. It's long over due to give this state back to its people... Vote for who will do that the best, Blue or Red. Do not feed into the political party dung...

Chuckle, chuckle, chuckle. Well, Trump has admitted to his biographer that John Gotti was a role model of his ... and Trump seems to have run his business as though it was "legalized racketeering" ... so you may be right that the Republican tribe is operating its business in the 'ma famiglia' style!

"Robby-boy", the closest that you, "jerry' & "Silenus" could get to "George Orwell" is to buy any of his books (which, even if you did, I doubt you would read them, or, understand them...) BUT,.. you three are "equipped" and could "assume the pig parts" in a dramatic, socialist play. ROTFLMAO !

Deadline to register to vote in the November mid-term elections in Florida is Tuesday, October 9, 2018. If you love your country and our Constitution, vote the Republican ticket. We need a definitive Republican win in November to stop all the leftist nonsense and total dereliction of duty the Democrats have been exhibiting since the last presidential election. It is so sad that good Democrats are held hostage by the radical left. It didn't used to be that way. We have a real battle on our hands because the Dems let this take over occur. Our elections are no longer over just a difference in policy regarding issues. We have a real threat now of losing our Constitutional rights. We cannot allow this to happen. Vote for Rick Scott and Ron DeSantis and other local candidates who are committed to making America great again and making sure it stays that way.

I really like what the GOP has done that lest few years under Rick Scott and hope DeSantis can continue the progess. Strong economy and fiscal conseravative. Also , note that seven million Floridians evacuated during Hurricane Irma and Scott 's leadership was apparent throughout. I'll be voting GOP in November.

Let me just remind everyone especially Republicans...Trump and Scott just won Florida by 1% so Nelson and Gillum could flip this and also win by 1% because Florida remains a true battleground purple state! Independents may help to decide these statewide races including the cabinets seats too but each party must get it's base out too! So stop whining and get out and vote because we may be headed for a long night on November 6 ! But it does seem and look like a blue wave is coming to Florida to wash that red tide away !

"Blue Wave": You're not fooling anyone who Loves America and "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness". The Florida conservatives have done just fine for Florida... when the Federal Government kicked you Socialists / Communists out in 2016, EVERYTHING has been getting better... and Obummer and the "Soros-type" money people have BOUGHT everything they could. Adios in November, rich Liberals!

Great meeting...Bottom line VOTE REPUBLICAN vs. VOTE IMPEACH TRUMP...Get registered and VOTE

Does RPOF stand for Republican Program of Fraud?

Ah yes the fascist trolls are busy. Quoting Orwell is ironic, but classic tactic using newspeak to strangle truth The MS13 defenders would sacrifice the Rebublic to regain power. Of course they never use their real names because that would expose them for what they are.

My money is on Silenius, below. And Orwell. The good common sense of Floridians understand what has happened to this fair state since the GOP Tea Party, extremist wing, took over 8 years ago, and ran Florida onto the rocks. Time for fresh ideas, functional policies protecting Florida's environment and all Floridians, and relatively uncorrupted candidates.

ROTFLMAO!!!!! ……... Don't worry, be happy!! Yeah that is the ticket, ignore you are losing will help a lot...…………..And no amount of money is going to win you the governor, Senate and many other races because everyone knows you too well now, especially women whom are coming for you....………….You are so immoral the party has shrunk greatly as decent people leave in droves disgusted by you...………….If you don't become decent people again and throw the racist, corporatist out, you can say goodbye the repub party as too disgusting t be in but by disgusting people.

“The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.” ~ George Orwell, Animal Farm
