If you're anywhere near Miami and you'd like to watch the World Cup semifinals there's still time to join David Beckham's free World Cup watch party from noon to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Wharf -- a pop-up food and event space along the Miami River.

The match between Beckham's beloved England and Croatia begins at 2 p.m.

Soccer fans all over the world have been transfixed over the last month. They flock to bars, watch parties, restaurants -- in Miami, even to floating screens. But not all wear the celebrity label of this Miami shindig. Beckham will actually be there watching with Florida fans.

Even Croatia fans are welcome, he says.

News of former England striker Beckham’s watch party arrives a day after the retired soccer superstar released the first image of Miami Freedom Park, a “soccer village” and stadium proposed near Miami International Airport that would house a future Major League Soccer franchise.

If Miamians are looking for a less crowded venue, they'll find one at American Social in Brickell. We're told fans can watch the England-Croatia matchup on a massive, 46-foot-long screen floating on the Miami River behind the restaurant.
