Gillum Leads in the Latest Poll, and the Attacks Start Again

June 21, 2018 - 1:45pm

I guess we should have expected it.

What I mean by “it” is the latest round of attacks against Andrew Gillum, or anyone supporting him.

The latest Gravis Marketing poll has Gillum leading the other Democratic candidates.

Gasp! Clutch your pearls, folks.

Something MUST be written to try to slow the momentum of Andrew Gillum. His performance in the debates and forums can’t be matched by ANY of the other candidates.

As noted earlier, Gwen Graham is like watching paint dry. If she wins the nomination, there is a sizable group of Democrats who will NEVER vote for her. Ever.

Philip Levine is like that used car salesman you KNOW is feeding you a line.

Chris King is likeable, but he isn’t going to have people waiting in line for hours to vote for him, a la Barack Obama.

Guess who will? Andrew Gillum.

That is scaring the bejeezus out of some people.

Clearly.

Since the Gravis poll surfaced, showing the PEOPLE are beginning to favor Gillum, the media are losing their collective crap.

I use "collective," because the latest hit is surrounding Collective PAC, the group that ran ads highlighting Gwen Graham’s questionable record in Congress

Now, let’s not harp on the fact that said media don't want to question Graham’s congressional voting record.

Let’s not harp on the fact that said media don't want to question past statements made by Graham about whether she is, or is not, a progressive.

Let’s not focus on the fact that said media treat this woman as if she can’t be vetted like Andrew Gillum seems to be vetted.

Like, for instance, why is it that people who either consider running against her or actually run against her, end up in FBI investigations?

Jackie Pons, anyone?

It’s a known fact that black Democratic candidates do NOT get the same support from the Democratic Party.

It’s a known fact that black Democratic voters do NOT get the same support from the Florida Democratic Party.

Now, what we are seeing here in Florida, is that black Democratic candidates will get slapped down by the media if they DARE step out of their lane.

Well, here is what I say:

If Collective PAC wants to help level the playing field, go for it. If any other organizations out there have the ability to do the same thing, step right on up.

Dark money, light money, pink or purple money.

Access to money has always been the way black candidates have been held down. I guess it would be scary for some to see THAT barrier being taken away.

Andrew Gillum appeals to the people, and thankfully, the people are beginning to see that they don’t HAVE to settle for the status quo just because the status quo is part of the 1 percent.

It’s unfortunate that there aren’t more black political writers in mainstream Florida to balance out the obvious bias against Gillum.

It truly makes a difference.

Correction: the latest poll has Gillum in 4th at 8%. Andrew Gillum 8% Gwen Graham 26% Chris King 15% Phillip Levine 27% Jeff Greene 3% Someone else/not sure 21%

That poll also stated that if the election were held today out and of the black people aged 18-29 none of them would vote for Andrew. I call B.S! You want us to believe not 1 young black person would vote for the young black candidate. That in itself tells us that poll is straight up nonsense.

Er...incorrect. Not only is that “poll” ancient history, it is associated with a notorious “pay for play” blog where Levine and Graham have (mis)spent big bucks.

No, a poll, not Gravis Marketing. http://www.rabaresearch.com/

Face palm.

I am one of those registered, voting Democrats who would NEVER, EVER vote for "Neoptistic Gwennie" Graham, for ANY political office after seeing her "* two year failure and 'escape' *" up on the Panhandle. ("Walmart Greeter" may well be the only job she's TRULY suited for...) [Anybody BUT "Nepotistic Gwennie" ! ! ! ]

^Leslie

You are not a registered Democrat. You are a fat ass clown from NY. Go home fat boy and get a job...

I just used “Harry”s suggestion about Andrew Gilliam, only I asked this guy sitting in the restaurant next to me if he knew who Gwen Graham was. He said nope. I asked if he knew who Philip Levine was, he said nope. I asked if he knew who Chris King was, he said nope. I asked if he knew who Andrew Gillum was, he said nope. Looks like Gillum isn’t inthat boat alone! Hahahahaha!!!

One problem, ask the average Floridian on the street who Andrew Gilliam is. They won't know him from the man in the moon.

I don’t even know who Andrew GILLIAM is. You might want to get the name right, dude, before you try to act all intellectual and in the know! Try using GILLUM, and then maybe we might think you know what you are talking about!

I’ve wondeted why the press doesn’t report on Levine and the corruption Miami Beach had under his administration. Perhaps Wimes is on to something here.

Mayor of the city with the highest crime rate for the past four years and most of city government under FBI investigation.

After the pollsters 2016 Hillarys gonna win Big Lie most folks with good sense reverse whatever the polls perdict.

So then we should say neither Levine nor Graham will win?? If we go by crowd reaction at the two debates so far, Gillum wins that too. Hell, Levine got booed!!

BOOOOOOOO ....lol

I knew it, I knew it, I knew it! Folks up here have been saying Graham was behind that whole Jackie Pons fiasco for years!!

Gwen Graham is Alex Sink with a well-known father. We didn’t want Sink and we don’t want Graham!

Now that you mention it, there are no black political reporters in Florida reporting, besides Wimes, and she’s a columnist. That never dawned on me til now. What happened to that black female reporter out of Jacksonville?

What I don't genuinely get is Gillum speaking at the DNC, being a potential VP on Hillary's VP list, but he is now running as a Berniecrat, endorsed by Our Revolution and Soros, and seems be going against the "establishment" what got his way into politics. If anything OR will hinder him and those inveatigations, not him being black (Obama won the state twice and is actually more of a moderate compared to some).

The establishment loves black people as long as they can control black people! I read Leslie Wimes’ columns because I get a kick out of the fact that she is a democrat that can’t be controlled!!!

^Leslie

The state black caucus endorsed Gillum yesterday. We will be knocking doors, phone banking, and getting out the vote for him!
