Poll: Americans Say 'Yes' to Stricter Enforcement of Gun Control Laws

With two mass shootings in a month, American voters say more needs to be done about enforcing gun laws -- but they don't believe in limiting gun ownership -- a new poll shows.

According to a new Rasmussen Reports survey, two-thirds of likely U.S. voters -- 66 percent -- say the United States needs stricter enforcement of existing gun control laws after a mass shooting at a Texas church left 26 people dead.

A smaller number -- 27 percent -- disagreed.

American voters largely don't believe in limiting gun ownership to law enforcement agencies and military officials, with 59 percent saying the idea would be "bad" for America.

Over a quarter of voters -- 26 percent -- said they believed limiting gun ownership would be "good" for America.

The national survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted Nov. 7-8, 2017, by Rasmussen Reports and has a margin of error is +/- 3 percent with a 95 percent level of confidence.

Everyone wants the laws to be enforced. But they don't want confiscation as amply demonstrated by leftists everywhere.
