Matt Gaetz, Neal Dunn Focus on Chinese Government's Role in Corporate Espionage

While Congress is expected to stay out of Washington D.C. for the rest of the month, two North Florida Republican freshmen are planning to hold a public hearing on how China is engaged in corporate espionage and violating intellectual property.

U.S. Reps. Neal Dunn, R-Fla., and Matt Gaetz, R-Fla., announced at the end of last week they will hold a hearing on   “Wanton Loot: How China Is Stealing Ideas from American Entrepreneurs” at Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee on Wednesday, August 30.

Gaetz will convene the hearing and pointed to how Chinese nationals stole technology from Bing Energy, which is based in Tallahassee, to launch their own energy company in their native country. Every year, American companies lose around $225 billion through intellectual property theft.

“There are too many signs to ignore the likelihood that the Chinese government is behind blatant acts of thievery of technology and systems designed in the United States,” Gaetz said on Friday. “One glaring example took place right in Tallahassee, and we’re going to hear the details so we can fight back to protect our ideas as much as our people, communities, businesses, and borders in the future.”

“We in Congress cannot sit by and watch our biggest global competitor try to get an edge by stealing from our creative, inventive and entrepreneurial society to profit from the work being done in the United States,” said Dunn.

It will take more than two or three of our committed Congress to expose (and stop) the openly brash "theft" of U.S. people/business. Acts of abusing our advances by other countries as well as our own "citizens" is growing like gutter rats in the spring. Has anyone heard about U.S. vehicle plants being built in China? Paid for with the pay outs from the Federal government? Then China requires "ownership" of facilities there? GM, where are you? Then there is the cancer like move to make the air better, in the name of EPA. First Gas vehicles are deemed to be horrible emitters. So, someone decided that Ethanol "burns clean" and can be made from corn. No one researches (or exposes) what energy it takes to produce it. Now, suddenly, we discover Ethanol deteriorates o-rings, fuel hoses, gaskets, etc. in autos, boats, lawnmowers, etc. BUT WAIT. While this moves forward, the cost of corn has skyrocketed as a food. SO, (ready?) Soy is being the replacement corn once was used for. Has anyone bothered to check out the damage that Soy does to humans? Look it up. Here's a hint; Soy is a highly used source for Estrogen. Soy is now is peanut butter, most canned goods as fillers, and more. One more item there, a less cost product (instead of corn) from Ethanol is hemp (as well as others). BUT has been banned because it shares similar traits to Marijuana. Hemp has lower concentrations of THC and higher concentrations of cannabidiol (CBD), which decreases or eliminates its psychoactive effects. The so called "system" is so busy beating itself, there is no reason or rhyme to it all.
