It's Not Over Until It's Over! And It Isn't Over!

December 22, 2016 - 9:30am

As everyone knows, the fiasco that took place in Miami-Dade County on Dec. 20 has given us Stephen Bittel as Miami-Dade's committeeman. Not fairly, mind you. Not as the will of the people, mind you.

The only good thing that came out of that hot mess was the number of people who banded together to try to see that true democracy was done.

I have met some awesome individuals.

We all saw that democracy wasn't on display that night. Stephen Bittel became committeeman through deals and threats.

He is where he is via backroom deals and strong-arm threats. That's ok, though.

Now you hear people calling for unity.

No. Never unity.

SEIU and FEA ... SMDH:

Your credibility is in the toilet. Your members work hard. Very hard. Your leaders, well, they go to the highest bidder.

You certainly put on a good show, but that's all it appears to be. A show. Keep taking those pictures with the working folks you represent, all the while kissing the butt of wealthy donors.

It is always interesting to me how after people like Stephen Bittel, and those he bought -- and you know who you are -- do the terrible things they do, then want to get all kumbaya and say let's come together for the good of the party!

LMAO!

If you thought the disruption you saw during that election was something, you are very naive. We are just getting started.

That fiasco only fueled the true progressives. It only fueled the true fighters to fight harder. It hasn't stopped a thing.

You unleashed the beast. The progressive beast.

We knew the fix was in based on Stephanie Grutman's letter that went out prior to Bret Berlin ever being elected.

No, there will be no coming together on this one.

We will NOT be coming together behind Stephen Bittel.

It is great to see the other people coming forward to run for Florida Democratic Party chair.

The general consensus has become ANYONE but Stephen Bittel.

In the next few days, I will be talking to the declared candidates for FDP chair because one of them WILL beat Stephen Bittel. I will be talking to the people who actually will be voting for FDP chair.

As I stated. It isn't over until it's over.

It is FAR from over.

While I was disappointed to see how the attacks on Dwight Bullard played out, I am pleased to know that the black community will have his back come 2018. We will not forget.

Oh, and to (former) Sen. Bill Nelson, more and more people are realizing that you have put your power and position over the progress of the Democratic Party.

Pack your bags. You are out of here in 2018.

I'm a Republican and love watching all this in-fighting and intolerance in the Dem/Progressive/Liberal/whatever party! Dems want everyone to look different but demand everyone think a like.

This is journalism?

Nope. Journalism doesn't seem to exist in most of SSN's posts, yet I still read what's sent out!

Ms. Wimes, your articles are becoming more and more without FACTS. You remember them, don't you? It's time SSN STOPS allowing you to air your personal dirty laundry here and either communicate an interesting article to leave. This is only MY opinion but you continuously insult many readers.

I'm told there were nearly 140 "new" members who joined to attend and vote who were never sworn in as is required before a vote. If one stacks the deck, the results are not credible. A lack of confidence in an election works against the unity that this party so badly needs. Outside of this party, money alone doesn't win--we have been shown this, but it doesn't look like the party is listening.

I guess winning a 60% of the votes means nothing to Leslie. Ms. Wimes is a Republican hack

She's actually a Democrat! And a very poorDemocratic) one at that!

She is actually an anti-Semitic! She is angry that a Jew beat out her black Muslim brother!

Wimes is a communist.

And Dave Manning is a calumniator
