A new poll shows Florida is up for grabs in November.

Public Policy Polling (PPP), a Democratic-aligned pollster, released a poll of likely Florida voters showing the Sunshine State is close. Donald Trump takes 44 percent while Hillary Clinton gets 43 percent. Libertarian Gary Johnson takes 5 percent while Green Party nominee Jill Stein and anti-Trump conservative Evan McMullin pull 1 percent each. Based on Wednesday’s final ballot from the state Secretary of State, McMullin will not be on the ballot in Florida.

When minor party candidates are taken out of the mix, Clinton is up with 47 percent and Trump right behind her with 46 percent.

“Earlier in the year it seemed like Democrats might have a chance to win Florida by a wider margin than usual,” said Dean Debnam, the president of PPP.  “But it’s reverted to being just as much of a swing state as it usually is.”

Both of the major party candidates are upside down in Florida. Clinton is seen as favorable by 40 percent while 53 percent view her unfavorably. Trump does slightly better with 42 percent of voters seeing him as favorable while 52 percent see him unfavorably.

There is a major racial divide in Florida with 60 percent of white voters breaking for Trump while 33 percent are for Clinton. But Clinton takes 71 percent of non-white voters while 22 percent are for Trump.

Clinton leads with 57 percent of voters under 45 while 31 percent of them go for Trump. But seniors go Trump’s way as he takes 59 percent of them while 39 percent prefer Clinton.

President Barack Obama, who carried the state in 2008 and 2012, has the approval of 47 percent of those surveyed while 48 percent disapprove of him. If Obama could run for a third term, he would lead Trump 50 percent to 45 percent in Florida.

The poll of 744 likely voters was taken between Sept. 4 through Sept. 6 and had a margin of error of +/- 3.6 percent.

Skip all the polls. Fact is we should all know Florida will be competitive until Nov. 8 unless one drops dead, is video taped committing a heinous crime, or either's supporters stupidity factor reaches unforseen heights. #Nightmare16

yes you can tell they are running so close by the rallies they hold and the attendance - so much alike - LOL what a joke... Trump had 100 times the support Hillary has.. Hillary has money to buy delegates.. Trump actually wants votes from people.. real people we love him and want our country back.. Not a Crook like Hillary.. she is unfit to run for office or any job.. not even a dog walker... she can't walk her self..

Please explain other than Benghazi (where they had 40 hearings and found nothing) in fact they admitted the only purpose was to trash Hillary before the election) her positive rating was 70% before the hearings and 40% after VS. trump who says he gives money to politicians and get favors in return whose main business is conning people and buying off politicians

Ahhhh Erik, but Hillary is one of the "Buyable" Politicians.......

Hey! What happened to all those polls just last week SSN quoted as having Trump so far behind? As a few of us here said then, Trump WILL be elected because, he is NOT a political 'insider' and the American people cannot take another political hack like Clinton, who will lie her way all through the election and beyond! Anyone loving OUR country will vote for Trump over Clinton! GO TRUMP!!
