While Irene Won't Hit Florida, Sandy Adams Stresses Hurricane Readiness
Florida Republican U.S. Rep. Sandy Adams, who represents parts of the Space Coast, weighed in with the news that Hurricane Irene looks headed away from the Sunshine State.
While it appears Hurricane Irene is going to miss Floridas coastline, it is a good reminder of the threat our state faces from the hurricane season, insisted Adams on Wednesday.
I want to encourage everyone to have a plan in place and to please stay safe during hurricane season. Although hurricanes are a part of life for Floridians, there are many things that you can do to protect yourself, your family and pets, and to reduce the damage done to your home and property.I have created a page on my website which includes helpful information, tips, and listings for hurricane shelters throughout Floridas 24th District. If you would like additional information, please call one of my offices and we will do our best to get you the information you need.
