What, Me Worry? Wasserman Shultz Says Economy 'On the Upswing'

Rep. Debbie Wasserman Shultz found her voice Monday morning, but may have lost her mind.

In an interview on MSNBC, the head of the Democratic National Committee, declared:

So, every economist you would talk to that is worth their salt acknowledges that without the Recovery Act we would not be continuing on the upswing.

Yep. "Continuing on the upswing."

Driven to silence by the zero-growth jobs report Friday, the Fort Lauderdale congresswoman apparently spent the Labor Day weekend consulting with unnamed salty economists to spin the latest dreadful employment numbers.

Next thing you know, Wasserman Shultz will be announcing that President Obama's approval ratings have soared to record highs.
