Todd Wilcox Releases Economic Plan

Continuing his bid to replace U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., Republican Senate hopeful Todd Wilcox unveiled his economic agenda on Thursday.

Wilcox, a businessman and Army veteran, released “Restoring Fiscal Sanity in Washington,” his plan to cut federal spending and revive the economy.

“Government spending has created an entitlement culture in America that threatens our constitutional republic, is destroying the separation of powers and poses the greatest threat to our national security,” said Wilcox. “Career politicians from both parties are complicit in wasting our hard-earned dollars and it’s time we demand fiscal reform that makes sense.”

Wilcox called for more citizen legislators to get federal spending under control. His plan includes cutting spending, adding a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution, ending the debt ceiling, cutting regulations, repealing President Barack Obama’s federal heath-care law, pursuing more flat tax options and supporting more energy exploration options, including backing the Keystone XL pipeline.
