Shawn Harrison Snags Endorsement from Will Weatherford

House Speaker Will Weatherford gave a thumbs up on Monday to former state Rep. Shawn Harrison and his campaign to retake his old seat in the Florida House of Representatives.

"Shawn Harrison's commitment to his community is unmatched," said Weatherford. "Shawn is a successful small-business owner who creates local jobs for his neighbors. Shawn is a former city councilman with a bipartisan record of success. And most importantly Shawn is effective, having sponsored a successful constitutional amendment protecting the families of fallen first responders while only a freshman in the Florida House. District 63 deserves someone in Tallahassee who will fill a need, not just fill a seat."

Harrison served District 63 in the Florida House for one term after losing to incumbent Rep. Mark Danish. The seat covers parts of northern Hillsborough County.
