Senate Hopefuls Attending Sunshine Summit in Orlando

The Republican Party of Florida (RPOF) will use the Sunshine Summit in Orlando in November to showcase the candidates running to replace U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., in the Senate come 2016. 

Carlos Lopez-Cantera, David Jolly, Ron DeSantis, and Todd WilcoxOn Monday, state Rep. Blaise Ingoglia, R-Spring Hill, the chairman of the RPOF, announced that U.S. Reps. Ron DeSantis and David Jolly, Lt. Gov. Carlos Lopez-Cantera and businessman Todd Wilcox will take part in the event. 
 
“In 2016, Florida will not only play a key role in the race for the White House but an important role in maintaining a Republican majority in the U.S. Senate,” Ingoglia said. “That is why the participation of the U.S. Senate candidates at the Sunshine Summit is a valuable addition to the growing line up of speakers. Senate candidates will have the opportunity to engage grassroots leaders and volunteers to showcase their ideas and solutions to the issues facing our nation.”

The event will also feature the Republican presidential candidates with 12 of them already having been announced as attending.
