Ron Paul Group Raises the Stakes to Audit the Fed

The Campaign for Liberty, chaired by former U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, R-Texas, looks to mark the Federal Reserves centennial by auditing it.

John Tate, the president of the Campaign for Liberty, informed supporters on Tuesday that the group is planning to raise the stakes as they support U.S. Sen. Rand Pauls (R-Ky.) bill to audit the Federal Reserve.

This year marks the 100th birthday of the Federal Reserve, and Campaign for Liberty is working to give it a birthday present: an audit, Tate emailed supporters. Senator Rand Paul has put a hold on the nomination of Janet Yellen to be Federal Reserve chair while requesting that Harry Reid finally agree to hold an up or down, roll call vote on Audit the Fed. Campaign for Liberty is planning a major effort to convince Harry Reid to finally allow us to have this vote.

Tate plans to launch a major email program designed to blitz the Senate with petitions and phone calls from concerned Americans demanding a vote on Audit the Fed" and buy hard-hitting Internet, radio, and newspaper ads in targeted states pressuring fence-riding senators to support Audit the Fed.
