Rick Scott Promotes Cissy Proctor at DEO

Cissy Proctor is moving up at the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) and will take over as executive director on Jan. 9. 

Gov. Rick Scott promoted Proctor, who is currently the chief of staff at DEO, to the new post on Thursday. 
 
“Cissy has been a great member of the DEO team and has accomplished a lot during her time at the agency,” Scott said. “She has a strong background in legislative affairs, and I know she will be a great partner with the Florida Legislature to continue to diversify our economy. Her great work to support job growth for Florida families is a strong testament to the work she will do as executive director. She will provide leadership and help make Florida first for jobs.”
