Rick Santorum Scores Big Wins in Tennessee and Oklahoma

Rick Santorum scored a big win on Super Tuesday as he carried Tennessee. Its a solid win for the former Pennsylvania senator since Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney had been surging in the polls in recent days. Santorum should pick up many of the 58 delegates that were on the line in the Volunteer State.

Moments after the polls closed in Oklahoma, Fox News called the Sooner State for Santorum, but CNN is holding off for now. With 43 delegates on the line, Santorum should emerge with most of them. Its a solid prize -- and one the Republicans should expect to win in November. In the last six decades, Oklahoma went for the Democratic presidential candidate only once when it broke for Lyndon B. Johnson in 1964.
