Rebecca Negron Reels in More Endorsements for Congressional Bid

Martin County School Board Member Rebecca Negron reeled in more endorsements on Tuesday as she continues her effort in the crowded Republican primary to replace U.S. Rep. Patrick Murphy, D-Fla., in Congress. Murphy is running for the U.S. Senate in 2016

On Tuesday, Stuart City Commissioners Jeff Krauskopf and Troy McDonald and Sewall’s Point Commissioner James Campo announced they were backing Negron.

“I would like to extend a sincere thank you to our local Commissioners Krauskopf, McDonald and Campo for their endorsement of my campaign,” Negron said on Tuesday. “It is important to have the support and encouragement of community leaders and public servants, and I am humbled that they put their trust in me to represent our Treasure Coast in Washington.

“If elected, I pledge to take our constituents’ ideas and needs with me to Washington, and serve as the voice for our community,” Negron added. “After all, we are the ones who know the essential needs of District 18– not the federal government. We must practice fiscal responsibility, ensure our children’s schools and education policies stay within our grasp, grow and strengthen our economy, and stress the importance of water quality and water projects – all of which I intend to do in Congress if elected.”
