Pope Francis is Time Magazine's 'Person of the Year' and in Great Shape With American Public

Pope Francis was named Time Magazines "Person of the Year on Wednesday and a new poll finds Americans have a good opinion of him.

Rasmussen Reports released a poll on Tuesday which finds 61 percent of American adults see the pope as favorable while only 12 percent see him as unfavorable. While only 3 percent see Pope Francis as very unfavorable, more than a quarter of those surveyed -- 29 percent -- see him as very favorable. Only 9 percent have never heard of Pope Francis while 17 percent are undecided on how they see him.

The poll of 1,000 American adults was taken from Dec. 5-6 and had a margin of error of +/- 3 percent.
