NRCC Names Vern Buchanan Part of Leadership Team

The National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) named its leadership team on Friday -- and brought in Florida Republican U.S. Rep. Vern Buchanan as one of its vice chairs.

NRCC Chairman U.S. Rep. Pete Sessions of Texas announced eight vice chairs -- and tapped Buchanan to head up finance efforts.

"I am proud to announce my eight colleagues who will join NRCC leadership and help our team achieve another successful election cycle," said Sessions. "These members bring to the committee different skill sets and experiences that will add to the strong team we've assembled. I commend our new NRCC leadership team as they support our fellow House Republicans to strengthen the majority next election."
