McCollum Campaign Manager Rips Rick Scott

Bill McCollums team is lashing out hard at conservative businessman and Republican gubernatorial rival Rick Scott.

Matt Williams, McCollums campaign manager, took note of Alex Sinks attack on Scott and used the opportunity to join in, referring to Scotts being removed from Columbia/HCA during the largest Medicaid and Medicare fraud scandal in the nations history. Rick Scotts sordid history is a reality that must be addressed, wrote Williams. "His business practices are filled with scandal, mismanagement and fraud. Rick Scott was ousted from his business because it perpetrated the largest Medicare fraud scheme in American history.

Williams clearly hinted that Scott cannot beat Sink. Florida will not elect as their next Governor someone who has so abused the corporate financial and health systems of America as Rick Scott, wrote Williams. Our Republican Party cannot afford to have Rick Scott lead our ticket. It would end in an absolute disaster for our Party, our principles and our candidates throughout our state.

Williams ended with a scathing personal attack on Scott.

This is a man who barely escaped imprisonment, whose failure in business has been portrayed on national news and around the world, wrote Williams. He is an embarrassment. Rick Scott not only oversaw fraud, Rick Scott is a fraud.
