Marco Rubio Goes to Bat for Scott Brown Against Elizabeth Warren
Using Reclaim America, a PAC that is associated with him, U.S. Sen. Marco Rubio, R-Fla., waded into the one of the most closely watched U.S. Senate battles in the nation on Monday when he backed U.S. Sen. Scott Brown, R-Mass. Brown is facing a serious challenge from Democrat candidate Elizabeth Warren.
Two years ago, I endorsed Scott Brown because I knew he would be a critical vote against expanded government, out-of-control spending, and the resident's health care takeover, Rubio wrote supporters in an email on Monday. Now Scott Brown is running for re-election against an ultra-liberal backed by extreme big-government special interests."
Rubio bashed Warren as an extreme liberal who was nominated by Harry Reid to oversee the failed TARP program."
If elected, she will be a reliable vote for the failed liberal policies that have created record debt, prolonged unemployment, and a diminished future for our country, Rubio added.
Rubio did admit that he had differences with Brown but added that he was a better option than Warren.
Scott and I don't agree on everything, but I know Scott is a dedicated husband, loving father, and principled public servant, insisted Rubio. He believes in cutting spending, reining in our debt, balancing our budget, and repealing Obamacare. He's been an independent voice for common sense in Washington, and has kept his campaign promises to the people of Massachusetts.
